About me and my therapy practice

I offer a safe, collaborative space to explore what may be holding you back; whether that is mental health challenges, trauma, low self-worth, identity questions, or difficulties in relationships.

I’m a bilingual (Farsi–English) Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist in doctoral training, with over 14 years’ experience across NHS services, private practice, and the charity sector.

My approach is integrative and tailored to you, drawing on therapies such as Schema Therapy, IFS, CBT, ACT and DBT, alongside existential and creative approaches where helpful. Together we work at your pace to understand the roots of your difficulties and develop practical ways forward.

I have experience supporting clients within CAMHS, Gender Identity Clinics, and complex mental health services. Whether you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin, I aim to offer a grounded and compassionate space where meaningful change can become possible.

Practice description

You can expect a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative space where your experiences are taken seriously and explored with care.

My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches and tailored to your individual needs. Rather than offering quick fixes, I aim to help you understand the deeper patterns behind your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, working at a pace that feels manageable for you.

I bring clinical experience, insight, and flexibility to our work together. I often support people navigating trauma, anxiety, identity questions, emotional overwhelm, and difficult life transitions.

If you’re looking for a therapist who will work alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and clarity, I would be glad to support you.

My first session

If we decide we may be a good fit, I will send you the therapy agreement, confidentiality information, and payment details to review and sign before our first session.

The first one or two sessions are an initial assessment, where we begin getting to know each other and understanding what has brought you to therapy. We will explore your current concerns, relevant background, and what you hope might change through therapy. I may ask some questions to understand how things are affecting you emotionally, mentally, and in your relationships.

Confidentiality, professional boundaries, and safeguarding are always explained clearly. A brief risk assessment is included as part of safe and ethical practice.

This process is collaborative and flexible. We work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and together we begin to clarify your goals and how therapy can best support you.
