Thank you for taking the time to read through my profile. Exploring the possibility of taking this step can hold quiet significance and I appreciate how complex it may feel. However your journey unfolds, I hope it gently aligns with what you need and feels authentic to you.
I recognise that your lived experience and personal perspective are central to the work we do together. I offer a warm, empathic, and respectful space where you can explore your experiences openly and at your own pace, with the direction of the work guided by your needs, values, and goals.
My approach is Person-Centred, and I draw flexibly on principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, working in a Trauma-Informed way where appropriate. I remain mindful of how past experiences of distress or adversity may have shaped your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, while also staying attentive to what you are experiencing in the present. Rather than working in a prescriptive way, I collaborate with you to explore whatever you may need to bring, or whatever feels most important for you at that time, in a way that feels safe, respectful, and meaningful, keeping your choice at the centre of the work.
Practice description
I am a qualified, BACP registered counsellor who works in a Person-Centred, relational, and collaborative way. I offer 50-minute sessions remotely via Google Meet or telephone; I am able to offer weekly sessions while remaining flexible about the regularity of sessions according to what works best for you.
I offer a free 15-minute introductory call. This is a chance for you to get a sense of whether we might feel like a good fit — in terms of what you’re looking for, and any other areas of our potential work together that feels important to you. You can ask any questions, and, if you wish, hear a little more about how I work. There’s no pressure either way — it’s just a space for you to get a sense of what feels right before deciding anything further, and you’re very welcome to get back in touch whenever (or if) you feel ready, with no time pressure or expectation attached.
