About me and my therapy practice
If you recognise that you are need of help or support then you have already taken a crucial first step.
I offer a free initial first consultation, with no obligation, where we can discuss what is taking you to therapy, my approach and whether there is a good prospect of taking things forward - primarily through a compassionate, understanding and non-judgemental relationship. Face to face we can get that all important 'feel' for each other.
If I, or you, consider that other therapists are better placed I will point you in the right direction if needed.
My areas of interest, where I consider myself best placed to help are:
- Stage of life issues, particularity for mature adults e.g. retirement; "empty nest syndrome"; isolation; ageism; physical and mental impairment; caregiving responsibilities, amongst others.
- Relationship issues e.g. family; partner; work colleagues.
- Identity and meaning, ranging from acute changes that have impacted your sense of self to long standing feelings of malaise.
Of course, many of the above overlap and intertwine adding to your feelings of unease and discomfort.
My fee is usually £45 for a full one hour session i.e. 60 minutes (concessionary rates are available for counselling/therapy trainees).
I fully understand that, for some, taking this next step (remember you have already taken the first step) can be daunting so want to reiterate you have no obligation to take things further than the initial session.
Warm regards, Keith.
