I’m Rebecca of Gayton Lodge Counselling, I am passionate about helping people find colour in the darkness in their life journey.

I offer to help find in counselling a counsellor/client connection of human minds to support you as an equal, to empower and hold you at fragile times in your life, promoting your self awareness and expression and your autonomy for change.

A level 7 qualified integrative/Person Centred counsellor, with a counselling practice located in the peaceful pretty village of Gayton Village NN7, Near Towcester, Northamptonshire.

I cover areas of Towcester, Northampton, Daventry and surrounding villages. I offer counselling in all areas to my Clients, I also specialise in Grief counselling.

If you have any questions about counselling, this may be your first time, do contact me and I am happy to help or have a free informal chat about your needs.

Practice description

Gayton Lodge provides a comfortable, confidential, safe, non-judgemental environment for you, or your child, to explore difficult, stuck &, or, intense feelings.

You or your child will be welcomed with warmth and understanding. At Gayton Lodge, you will receive empathetic counselling support, to meet you exactly where you are in your unique life journey.

The lodge is a discrete, peaceful, comfortable,  non judgemental counselling space set back within the garden.

Sometimes, children and teens have not yet developed the vocabulary around their emotions, therefore the Lodge is fully equipped with all the creative tools such as paints, sand trays, nature collections, memory boxes, & toys, that maybe required to help facilitate their safe expression ‘their own’ life story & struggles.

Similarly creative therapy can help you as an adult release your feelings if you so choose to work through therapy in this way.

My first session

Gayton Lodge provides a warm, safe, comfortable environment to begin your grief counselling. It may be your first experience of counselling, you may be wondering what to expect? if so, you can always call for an informal chat about counselling in general.

Counselling is firmly based on building a therapeutic relationship with your counsellor. Not every counsellor is the right fit for every Client, we are all human! Therefore there is never an obligation to block book sessions at Gayton Lodge.

Your or your child's counselling journey would start with a 35 minute face to face assessment where you can meet me as your counsellor, familiarise yourself with the space, and importantly, have the opportunity to ask any questions. I will ask you to answer the questions on a short assessment form to see how I can best meet your needs. Visit www.gaytonlodgecounselling.co.uk for pricing information.

After this assessment appointment you are free to decide if you wish to embark upon weekly or fortnightly counselling. Session length is one hour. I also offer ad hoc one off counselling sessions at Gayton Lodge.

You are the best judge of your counselling journey length, this will be dictated by how you feel. I do believe in and offer long term therapy if this is what you feel is right for you. Equally, I am happy to offer short term therapy. There is no right and wrong way, it is what ever best suits your individual needs.

If you choose to start counselling sessions you will receive a welcome pack, complete with our Service Agreement, our policy's & safe guarding procedures, and accounts information.
