About me and my therapy practice

I am a warm empathic person with an intuitive ear for details, focussing on you and helping you towards a future where you feel empowered to make positive steps and potential changes that you are seeking for yourself. I work with clients from all walks of life and welcome diversity with open arms.

My passion and dedication focusses on guiding you through your struggles so that you can find inner strength to process what brings you to therapy. Are you struggling with a particular aspect of your life right now? Relationships? What elements of your life would you like to explore? Is it the past or present and if so, what is it that needs attention? Where is your sense of self in both body and mind?

Whatever the reason that brings you to this page we can explore together in a calm safe environment that enables you to discover what might be holding you back.

With a specialist background in obesity solutions and a Master Personal Trainer in the physical sense, we can also explore ways to connect deeper to your physical fitness as well as your mental fitness to improve your overall health. There are often clues and signals we can take from body work that can be deeply connected to our feelings and thoughts of self and my style is to embrace all of you, and who you are, without judgement and to help you focus on the change you are seeking.

Practice description

With a private practice in the heart of Penarth town centre I offer face to face counselling at hours to suit you. I also use the topography and the surrounding landscapes to offer 'Walk and Talk' sessions that can be integrated into face to face sessions. There is the option to work online or telephone if this is your preferred method.

My first session

The first session is a chance to get to know each other and is a relaxed conversation to establish if we are a good fit with each other. It’s important to remember that we may not always know what exactly is making us feel the way we do and it’s ok to not know or have the answers to these questions. Therapy is a space for you to be supported in the best possible way with whatever life challenges you are facing or difficulties in relationships that you might be experiencing. What is important to establish at this early stage is if we can work together to focus on you and your needs.
