About me and my therapy practice
Tired of putting on a brave face and want someone to talk to without being judged? If you are experiencing anxious thoughts and low self-esteem I offer a confidential space to talk and begin to feel more confident in yourself and with others.
Anxious thoughts can be overwhelming, eroding confidence and motivation. Do you often find yourself overthinking, criticising yourself, or comparing yourself to others? Perhaps you’re navigating unexpected change or loss, living with a critical parent or partner, or constantly trying to please others, often at the expense of your own needs.
Whatever the reason you might have been consdering Counselling for a while but just don't know where to start. Sharing your experience and being truly heard by me can begin to bring a sense of relief, understanding and self-awareness. It can help you understand yourself more deeply, recognise what's getting in the way and discovering the strength and clarity to move through this difficult time in your life.
Practising a person-centred integrative approach, I adapt my approach to your unique needs and goals. I am curious and may sometimes ask questions to help you delve deeper but the direction of travel with always be chosen by you. You are then able to explore not only your present experiences but also past ones, joining the dots and understand how they might be contributing to negative self-beliefs or relational issues today.
I have experience working with a wide range of life-affecting experiences, in particular:
· anxiety and depression
· living with past or present trauma
· personal and family relationships
. navigating unexpected change or life transitions
· neurodiversity in a neurotypical world
I have my own Private Practice in central Newbury where I work face to face with both adults and young people.
So if you’re tired of putting on a brave face, contact me for a free, no-obligation 30-minute Discovery Session to find out more about how I can support you.
