Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I often say that finding the right therapist is a little like finding the right pair of shoes, they need to feel comfortable, supportive, and the right fit for you. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to begin this search. If you feel I might be someone you could work with, I’d warmly invite you to get in touch so we can arrange an informal chat and see if it feels right for you.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor offering a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly at your own pace. I work relationally, believing that feeling safe, seen and understood within the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. My intention is to create a space where you feel accepted just as you are.
As a qualified CBT Psychotherapist working in a trauma-informed way, I recognise that many present-day struggles have roots in earlier experiences. Childhood relationships, attachment patterns and trauma can shape how we see ourselves, relate to others and respond to the world. You may notice feeling triggered, overwhelmed, shutting down, avoiding situations, or experiencing emotions or body sensations that are hard to explain. Together, we can gently explore these patterns, making sense of how they developed and how they may be affecting you now.
I also welcome the everyday worries — the things that may seem small to others but feel heavy or consuming to you. Whether it’s overthinking, self-doubt, work or family pressures, or simply feeling “not quite yourself,” nothing is too big or too small to bring into the room.
Talking therapy can help you understand the “why” behind your thoughts and feelings, develop greater self-awareness and find new perspectives, leading to a deeper sense of clarity and calm. I have extensive experience working with adults and young people, including within a domestic abuse agency, where I gained insight into the impact of trauma, power and control on self-worth, trust and relationships.
Above all, I will move at your pace. You are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, offering steady support so you do not have to navigate things alone.
