About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Suzy.

Are you feeling stuck, alone, overwhelmed, want to create change but don’t quite know how, or just need some one to talk to?

I am a qualified therapist working with clients integratively (BACP registered). I draw on humanistic and psychodynamic modalities.   I believe the potential for change rests within you. However, our problems might sometimes stem from what is not within our conscious awareness. Through our therapeutic relationship, we can build your self-awareness and establish and work towards the goals you wish to achieve.

I offer a warm and collaborative, therapeutic relationship focusing on your needs. I am a LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist and also welcome neurodiverse clients. I work with clients online, on a short, or long-term basis for those who want to explore deeper issues.

I have regular supervision and have full insurance in line with BACP guidelines and ethical code of best practice.

I feel the combination of my personal journey, professional experience and training enables me to offer a safe, non-judgemental and compassionate approach. I will sit in the space with you no matter what feelings come up for you.

“The attempt to escape from pain creates more pain.” (Gabor Maté, 2009).

Practice description

I have worked with clients who have been living with addiction, trauma, self harm, childhood sexual abuse, abuse, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, physical health problems, identity issues, sexuality questions and issues, depression, anxiety and stress, grief, women’s issues and redundancy I believe we have historically created the best methods possible to overcome childhood wounds and relational trauma. However, these scripts might be unhelpful now and limit our potential. We can explore these limits and potentialities together.

I have also worked in the community as a Carer and volunteered for Survivors Network who support survivors of sexual violence and abuse in Sussex.
