About me and my therapy practice
You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My role is to offer a calm, supportive space where you can pause, reflect, and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing.
I work from a person-centred approach, which means that our sessions are guided by you. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and that meaningful change begins with being seen, heard, and accepted as you are. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening beneath the surface, your feelings, patterns, and needs, at a pace that feels manageable and safe.
My approach is grounded in empathy. Rather than trying to “fix” things quickly, I aim to help you develop awareness, understanding, and self-compassion. Through this process, many people find they begin to feel more connected—to themselves, to others, and to what feels important in their lives.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, breathe, and take small steps toward change. It doesn’t have to be perfect or neatly packaged.
Practice description
My practice offers a space to pause, explore, and begin to make sense of what’s happening in your world.
I work with adults experiencing a range of emotional and relational difficulties. Perhaps you are feeling caught in cycles of worry or overthinking, drained by self-doubt, or burnt out from trying to hold everything together. Or feeling disconnected from purpose, relationships, or even from yourself.
I offer support with:
– Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
– Burnout and exhaustion
– Relationship or communication difficulties
– Social anxiety and low self-esteem
– Life transitions and identity exploration
– Grief, loss, and change
Therapy with me is collaborative and paced according to your needs. It’s a space where you can bring your experiences, thoughts, and emotions without fear of judgment. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s beneath the surface and to find ways of moving forward that feel authentic and sustainable.
My first session
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin to build a sense of trust. There’s no expectation to share everything straight away or to have all the answers.
During this session, we’ll talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it.
It’s completely normal to feel uncertain or nervous about starting therapy. My aim is to make this first step feel as safe and steady as possible. You can share as much or as little as you wish; we’ll go at your pace.
Sometimes, meaningful change begins simply by allowing yourself to start the conversation.
