About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome,
My name is Tina, and I am a qualified Humanistic and Psychodynamic therapist based in London. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to all their code of ethics.
I truly believe that with the right help and support people can overcome their difficulties in order to live a healthier and happier life.
One of my core beliefs is trust. I see this as a vital part of the therapeutic alliance between the client and the therapist. I take an anti-discriminatory, LGBTQ+ affirmative stance, and I am open to difference in all its forms.
Practice description
My unique style of working is truly integrative with a mixture of humanistic, psychodynamic and new modern scientific evidence-based techniques. Counselling can be a rollercoaster of emotions where it can feel scary and lonely. We are all different with different stories, therefore therapy needs to reflect this. I work towards understanding my client’s needs and each therapy session is tailor made to suit them with this in mind, because each story is as unique as they are. I believe that people need to feel safe in order to talk openly and need to be held in a safe space so that they can reach a place of trust. Clients need to feel that their therapist is on their side, and that they have the emotional strength to walk with them on their journey. I am experienced in helping people with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, anger, abuse, grief, eating disorders, and self-esteem issues. I'm also insured to work with clients in the UK and aboard.
My first session
You can reach out to me by email or alternatively by booking an introductory zoom call. After I have received your message, I will get back to you as soon as possible to set up a free short assessment. In this assessment we will discuss your needs and what you’d like to get out of counselling. If you decide it is not the right fit for you, then there are no obligations and no fees. Please use this brief session as an opportunity to check in with yourself and decide what you’d like to do.
