About me and my therapy practice
I offer a calm, reflective and relational space where you can explore what has shaped you and how it continues to affect your thoughts, emotions, relationships and sense of self. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, relational and attachment-based models, alongside nervous system awareness and emotional regulation work.
I believe therapy is not about being “fixed”, but about being understood. Together, we slow things down, notice patterns, and gently make sense of the experiences that may still be living in the body or influencing present-day choices. I pay close attention to the therapeutic relationship, as this often mirrors important relational dynamics and offers opportunities for insight and repair.
I work collaboratively and at your pace, creating a space that feels safe, containing and respectful. Sessions may involve reflection, exploration of early experiences, noticing emotional responses, and developing greater self-compassion and clarity. I am mindful that healing is rarely linear, and I support clients through both the insight and the discomfort that can arise in meaningful therapeutic work.
Practice description
I am an integrative therapist with a background in social work and extensive experience supporting individuals and couples with complex emotional, relational and life challenges. My work is particularly informed by an understanding of childhood experiences, attachment, trauma and how these can show up in adulthood as anxiety, low self-worth, people-pleasing, emotional disconnection or relationship difficulties.
I work with adults and couples who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted or disconnected from themselves or others. Many of the people I support are outwardly functioning but internally struggling, often carrying unspoken pain, unmet needs or a sense that something isn’t quite right.
Alongside my therapeutic training, I bring a strong systemic awareness, sensitivity to power and context, and a compassionate, non-judgemental approach. I aim to offer a space where you feel seen, heard and taken seriously, while also being gently supported to explore patterns, boundaries, emotional needs and relational dynamics.
I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on your needs, and I regularly review the work together to ensure it remains helpful and aligned with your goals.
My first session
The initial assessment is an opportunity for us to get a sense of what has brought you to therapy and whether working together feels like the right fit. We will explore your current difficulties, relevant life experiences, relationships and any previous support you may have had.
I will also explain how I work, answer any questions you have, and discuss practicalities such as boundaries, confidentiality and next steps. There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to, and the assessment is held with care and curiosity rather than judgement.
By the end of the assessment, we will have a clearer sense of how therapy might support you, and you can take time to decide whether you would like to proceed.
