About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Julie and a warm welcome to my profile. I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of, - the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy offering both in-person and online therapy for adults, children and young people.
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or just too much.
If you’re here, something’s brought you to this point — and you don’t have to face it alone.
My counselling approach is rooted in empathy, honesty, and human connection. I work in a person-centred and trauma-informed way, which means I’ll meet you where you are, without judgment or pressure, and at a pace that feels right for you.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low self-worth, grief, relationship issues, or something harder to name — this space is for you to be heard and supported.
Together, we’ll explore whatever’s coming up for you, helping you make sense of things and move toward a place of greater clarity and self-understanding.
I believe therapy isn’t about “fixing” — it’s about being seen, supported, and given the space to grow in your own time. You already have the inner strength to navigate your challenges; sometimes it just helps to have someone walk alongside you.
Issues I Work With
• Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
• Low self-esteem and self-worth
• Grief, loss, and bereavement
• Depression and low mood
• Relationship challenges
• Trauma and difficult childhood experiences
• Emotional regulation
• Life transitions and personal growth
• Work-related stress
• Identity and self-acceptance
With heart,
Julie.

How I Work
My style is integrative, which means I tailor the work to suit you — drawing on person-centred values, as well as techniques from mindfulness, creative approaches, and psychoeducation. Above all, I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel safe to explore your inner world, your way.
