About me and my therapy practice

As a person-centred counsellor, my approach is rooted in creating a safe, and empathetic environment where you feel fully supported and valued. I am non-directive, meaning that I do not impose solutions, give advice, or steer the direction of our conversations. Instead, I trust in your innate capacity for growth and self-awareness. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

My role is to walk alongside you, offering empathy, understanding, and a genuine connection, as we co-create a space where you feel safe to express yourself openly. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and I respect your autonomy and inner wisdom. By fostering an atmosphere of acceptance and collaboration, I aim to help you connect with your own strengths, insights, and resources.

Practice description

In my practice, I aim to create a warm, friendly, and safe space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. This is a space just for you—where you can talk openly, explore your thoughts and feelings, and know that you’ll be met with empathy and understanding.

I take a non-directive approach, which means I’m not here to tell you what to do or offer advice. Instead, I’ll be alongside you as a supportive partner, helping you navigate whatever’s on your mind. You’re the expert in your own life, and together we’ll work in a way that feels right for you.

You can expect our sessions to be relaxed and at your pace—there’s no pressure or rush. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge, feeling stuck, or simply want some space to reflect, I’m here to listen and support you. My focus is on building a real, trusting connection where you feel heard and valued.

Whatever brings you to counselling, my aim is to help you feel more in tune with yourself, find clarity, and feel empowered to move forward in your own way.

My first session

In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and start building a foundation for our work together. This session is a chance for you to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with—it’s entirely at your pace.

We’ll go through an initial consultation form, which helps me learn a bit more about you, your background, and what has brought you to counselling. This isn’t just for me—it can also help you reflect on your journey and what you’re hoping to gain from our time together. It’s a gentle way to start exploring where you’re at and what you might need.

You can ask any questions about the counselling process, how I work, or anything else that’s on your mind. This is your time, and it’s important to me that you feel comfortable and supported. There’s no pressure to dive into anything deep straight away—this session is about creating a safe space for us to begin your counselling journey.

By the end of our first session, my hope is that you’ll feel a bit more settled and have a clearer sense of how we can work together to support you.
