Saturday 11 AM – 1:00 PM

Hi, I'm Steven
It takes real strength to look for support, and my aim is to make the process of starting therapy feel as grounded and non-intimidating as possible.
My Approach: Collaborative and Client-Focused
As an Integrative therapist, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, I carefully select methods from different approaches (including Person-Centred theory for empathy, Psychodynamic thinking for insight, and practical CBT tools) to create a therapeutic relationship that is tailored specifically to you.
The key to my work is collaboration. I offer a strictly confidential, non-judgemental, and safe space where you are in control of the pace and direction. Together, we will explore the challenges that brought you here—whether it’s stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, or relationship difficulties. We will work to:

Session Practicalities
I offer both short-term (solution-focused) counselling for immediate concerns and open-ended therapy for deeper personal growth. Sessions are 50 minutes long and I welcome clients for appointments online (via a secure link).
The first session is simply a chance for us to meet, for me to explain the process clearly, and for you to decide, with no obligation, if I am the right therapist for you.

The Virtual Environment
I’ve designed my virtual practice to be a dedicated, low-pressure space for your reflection and growth. When we meet online via secure video link, I ensure that my professional setup provides the same level of focus, privacy, and ease as a traditional office. You can log in from your chosen location—a quiet room at home, your private office, or wherever you feel most secure—and dedicate that time entirely to yourself.
What You Can Expect From Me
Working together means you get reliable, consistent support. Sessions are typically held weekly, usually at the same time, and run for 50 minutes. This regular structure creates the consistency needed for deep, meaningful insight, without the stress of travel or commuting.

Total Focus: Our time is dedicated entirely to your agenda—what feels most urgent, painful, or confusing to you right now.

Reaching out is often the hardest and bravest part. That's why I offer a free, brief initial phone chat. This isn't a formal session; it's simply a relaxed, non-committal conversation where you can ask any questions, explain briefly what's going on, and most importantly, get a sense of my style and whether I feel like the right fit for you.
My practice is here to support you in moving from feeling stuck to finding genuine clarity and confidence, all from the comfort of your own space.
My first session
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so I’ve designed the first part of the process to be as flexible and low‑pressure as possible, with the focus entirely on your comfort and readiness.
Free 15‑Minute Consultation
I offer a free, no‑obligation 15‑minute phone or video consultation. It’s simply a chance for us to meet, for you to ask questions, and for us to get a sense of whether working together feels right.
A Flexible, Seamless Start
I build extra time into this initial call so you have two options:
Option 1: Continue Straight Into a Full Session
If you feel “in the zone” after our consultation and want to keep going, we can move directly into a full 50‑minute session. This can be helpful if you’re feeling ready and don’t want to lose momentum.
Option 2: Pause and Decide Later
You’re equally welcome to end the 15‑minute call, take time to reflect, and get in touch later to book your first full session. There is absolutely no pressure to continue immediately.
Session Fees
A full 50‑minute session is £60, whether you continue straight after the consultation or book for another time. You will only be charged if you choose to move beyond the free 15‑minute call.
Sliding Scale (Online Sessions Only)
For online therapy, I offer a sliding scale of £40–£60 to support people on lower incomes, students, or anyone who would find the full fee difficult to manage. You’re welcome to choose the rate that feels sustainable for you.
What to Expect in the First Full Session
If you choose to continue, our first 50‑minute session is a gentle, collaborative assessment. We’ll explore what brought you here, what you’re hoping for, and how we might work together. We’ll also talk through confidentiality, boundaries and what you can expect from me, so you feel informed and supported from the start.
The whole process is designed to move at your pace, with choice and comfort at the centre.
