About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Liz.

I’m a qualified Counsellor & Psychotherapist (MBACP), trained at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, a BACP-accredited course grounded in depth and humanistic/holistic practice. I have worked with clients over the past few years in charitable settings, I now run my own online private practice.

Across many therapy hours, I’ve witnessed the many ways people adapt, protect, and find their way through life’s harder seasons. That experience has shaped a practice that’s steady, curious, and rooted in the reality of being human.

I work with people navigating all sorts of human stuff, including:

• Anxiety and stress

• Low mood or burnout

• Feeling stuck, lost or disconnected

• Depression

• Self-doubt, low confidence, or self-criticism

• Relationship problems

• Family Issues

• Identity and sexuality

• Life changes or crossroads

• Traumatic past

• Trust, attachment, and intimacy issues

• Grief and loss

Being human doesn’t come with a manual.

We all find our own ways to get through: holding it together, pushing on, finding small distractions that help us feel okay enough. It works until it stops feeling like enough. At some point, you want to understand yourself, not just get by.

That’s where our work begins.

It’s space to breathe, to notice, to get clear. A place where the things you’ve carried can start to make sense and where you can find steadier ground within yourself. You don’t have to earn being here. I believe therapy should feel relatable and doable, a calm corner where big feelings can settle and your feet can feel steadier. You don’t need perfect words to start. Life is messy, and that’s allowed.
