Availability
I am building a new practice and have plenty of availability at the moment. I am in the process of transitioning from part-time employment to counselling. I am busy balancing workplace needs with counselling clients, building my practice, and maintaining my family life.
I have some flexibility around evening hours and am happy to discuss client needs.
About me and my therapy practice
I operate using a person-centred approach. I have experience working with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, overthinking, a lack of confidence, and general feelings of being overwhelmed or troubled. Additionally, I have supported clients who have suffered from domestic abuse and sexual violence.
Most recently, I have been delivering a Trauma Stabilisation Programme to help individuals rebuild confidence and self-belief.
My approach is relaxed and responsive to each client's needs, while also incorporating some psychoeducation to foster a deeper understanding.
I rely on music to help me relax and process emotions. I am also open to clients who wish to share or use music to express their emotions and feelings.
Practice description
Prepare for a warm and inviting session where you are in the driver's seat. Bring any topic that's on your mind, and together we will embark on a transformative journey to uncover thoughts and feelings that you may have tucked away. We will explore powerful ideas and insights that can help process those emotions in a meaningful way.
Our priority will be to cultivate a strong rapport and mutual trust, creating a safe and comfortable space for you to express yourself. From there, we can explore the directions you wish to take our conversation, unlocking the potential for personal growth and understanding.
My first session
Initial sessions are extremely important; this is where we meet and determine if we can work together effectively. From our very first meeting, we begin to build trust and rapport. The relationship between a client and therapist is essential for productive sessions, even when they may be challenging, and can lead to positive outcomes.
To acknowledge that the first session is primarily about getting to know each other, I offer a discounted introductory session for £35.
During this session, we will handle some administrative tasks, such as collecting personal details and contact preferences. We will also touch on the key issues you're facing, but I will ensure the conversation stays light and the overall experience is gentle and relaxing.
