About me and my therapy practice

How I Work

When life feels overwhelming, heavy, or difficult to untangle alone, having a calm, understanding space can make a real difference.

Reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, especially when you're already carrying a lot. I offer a steady, supportive presence where you can talk freely, be heard and accepted, and begin to make sense of what you're experiencing at your own pace.

A Person Centred Foundation with ACT

I’m a Registered Member of the BACP and an Accredited Registrant with NCPS.

Alongside my person-centred foundation, I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which can help you relate differently to difficult thoughts and feelings while gently exploring what matters most to you and how you want to move forward.

Experience and Background

I work with adults aged 18 and over.

My experience includes working within NHS Talking Therapies, supporting people experiencing anxiety, stress and depression. I’ve also supported unpaid carers and individuals navigating homelessness and bring a deep respect for the resilience people carry through difficult circumstances.

Through my work as a social prescriber, I’ve supported people living with long-term health conditions and chronic pain, including fibromyalgia, diabetes and COPD, and understand how these experiences can affect emotional wellbeing.

Who I Support

People often come to counselling when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, lost, or unsure how to move forward.

You might be struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, low self-esteem, a life transition, grief or loss, or a sense that you’ve lost touch with who you are.

You don’t need to arrive with the “right” words — we can begin exactly where you are.

My Therapeutic Style

My style is warm, grounded and compassionate.

I won’t rush you or push you into places you’re not ready to go. Instead, we’ll explore your experiences together with curiosity and care, creating space for clarity, self-understanding and gentle change.

Online Therapy Across London and the UK

I work online with clients anywhere in the UK, using secure video sessions that offer the same warmth and presence as being in the room together.

Many clients choose online counselling because it offers:

- flexibility around work and commuting

- support for caring responsibilities

- accessibility for health or mobility challenges

- the comfort of being in your own space

- the ability to access therapy from anywhere in London or the UK

Whether you’re based in London or anywhere else in the UK, online therapy offers a consistent, accessible way to receive support without travel time or added pressure.

A Flexible Approach:

I offer afternoon, early‑evening and weekend appointments, with some flexibility where possible.

Sessions last 60 minutes and unfold at your pace. You don’t need to prepare anything or arrive with the “right” words — we begin wherever you are.

During our initial contact, we can talk through what you’re looking for, your preferred way of working, and any practical considerations that might help you feel comfortable.

If something here resonates, you're welcome to get in touch or visit my website to learn more.

My first session

Your Introductory Call

Before beginning therapy, I offer a free 15–30 minute introductory call by telephone or online.

This is a gentle, no‑obligation space where you can share a little about what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions, and get a sense of whether my way of working feels right for you.

There's no pressure to decide anything during the call - it's simply a chance for us to meet and see how it feels.

Your First Full Session

If you choose to go ahead, our first full 60‑minute session will be slightly different from the sessions that follow.

We’ll take time to talk through the counselling agreement, confidentiality, payment, and any practical details that help you feel safe and informed. We’ll also talk about what you’re hoping for from therapy and what feels most important for us to focus on.

A Steady Start

You don’t need to prepare anything in advance.

We can begin with a clear issue, a jumble of thoughts, or simply a sense that something in your life needs attention. My role is to offer a calm, grounded presence as we begin building a therapeutic relationship that feels safe and supportive.

If you'd like to begin, you're welcome to get in touch or book your introductory call via my website.
