About me and my therapy practice

I offer person-centred, trauma-informed counselling for adults in both English and Romanian. My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental, creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I work alongside you, respecting your individual experiences and needs, and supporting you in developing greater self-awareness, resilience, and clarity.

Practice description

I offer person-centred counselling grounded in a compassionate, non-judgmental approach. My work is informed by experience supporting survivors of sexual violence, using a trauma-informed framework that prioritises safety, trust, and empowerment.

I understand that adapting to life in the UK can feel overwhelming. As an expat myself, I have first-hand experience of navigating cultural transitions and the emotional impact they can bring. I work with clients from diverse multicultural backgrounds, supporting them as they adjust, build a sense of belonging, and move forward with confidence in this new chapter of their lives.

In our sessions, you can expect a warm, respectful space where your experiences are heard and valued. I aim to support you at your own pace, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings while fostering resilience and self-understanding.

My first session

I offer a free 15–20 minute initial phone or online consultation, giving you the opportunity to briefly share what brings you to counselling, ask any questions, and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit to work together.

If you decide to proceed, the first full session is charged at my standard rate. This session provides a supportive space for us to explore your concerns in more depth, discuss your background, and consider what you would like to gain from therapy.

During the first session, I may ask some gentle questions to understand your needs, but there is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with. We will also cover practical aspects such as confidentiality, boundaries, and how we can work together in a way that feels safe and supportive for you.

There is no obligation to continue after the first session. It is important that you feel comfortable, respected, and able to make the right decision for yourself.
