About me and my therapy practice
There can be times in life when you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. You may be navigating loss, change, challenging life experiences or transitions. A time when you are seeking space to pause, reflect and develop a deeper understanding of your inner experience, in relation to others and the world around you.
We begin where you are, without expectation to change or move anywhere else. No matter what has led you to seek support, we can explore what matters most to you together in a curious and collaborative way, moving at a pace that feels right for you. We will explore what is happening in your life now, alongside past experiences and wider influences that have shaped you. Supporting a deeper understanding of these experiences, their emotional and physical impacts, and how they influence your relationship with yourself and others.
I provide a safe, confidential and compassionate space where you can begin, sometimes for the first time, to connect with yourself, to explore your emotions, identity, relationships and place in the wider world. Through reflection, insight, and supportive challenge, you can explore what a fulfilling life looks like for you and how to move toward it with the resources and choices available to you.
Practice description
I am a relational integrative psychotherapist, bringing together both psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. In our sessions, we will explore your inner world: your thoughts, emotions, and experiences, alongside your outer world: wider patterns of relationships, culture, and community that shape them. You will be deeply seen and heard, while gaining insight, making meaning of your unique story, exploring your sense of self, your sustainable choices, and what matters most to you.
At times, you may notice that words feel hard to access or insufficient to describe what you are experiencing internally. We will move at a pace that feels right for you, if and when it feels right, our work together may include creative and body-based approaches as another way to support expression and understanding.
My practice is grounded in care and deep respect for the full spectrum of human experience. Alongside working in private practice, I bring over two decades of experience across early years education, children’s mental health, and special educational needs services. I work from an affirming, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed approach that holds deep awareness of how culture, community, and social structures influence our lived experiences and mental health. I hold a Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) accredited postgraduate diploma in integrative counselling (Level 7).
