About me and my therapy practice
Maybe you’re someone who thinks deeply, has a busy mind or has spent years trying to fit yourself into a life that doesn’t quite feel right. You may be navigating a neurodivergence diagnosis, questions about identity or transitioning to a new stage of life.
Things that used to work for you, might not work anymore, but you're unsure what you do need, simply knowing something needs to change. You don’t need to have it figured out to start. Together, we can slow things down, make sense of what’s going on and help you reconnect with yourself and what you actually need. I offer sessions in person in Chorlton and Ancoats, or online.
Practice description
I’m a person-centred counsellor with training in ADHD and autism, and experience working with neurodivergent clients and young people. I also specialise in burnout for creative people, and supporting women navigating perimenopause and menopause. Where helpful, I can bring creative approaches into our sessions, or walking in nature if it's right for you.
Starting counselling can feel daunting, especially if you’re not quite sure what you want to say or where to begin. You don’t need to arrive with the right words or have everything figured out. We can start wherever you are, at your own pace. If you feel we might be a good fit, I’d be happy to hear from you, and offer a free 15 minute consultation.
My first session
This is an opportunity to agree collaboratively how we will work together, so it's your chance to voice your needs. If you're not sure what you need yet, that's also ok.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin exploring what has brought you to counselling, as well as covering important aspects of contracting such as confidentiality and safe guarding.
We'll talk about what you're experiencing, what you might be hoping to get from our time together, and any questions or concerns you have about the process.
My approach is person-centred, which means there's no set agenda or pressure to share anything before you're ready. We'll go at your pace, and you can decide what feels important to talk about.
