About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for visiting, and welcome to my psychotherapy practice.
I am an MSc-qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist with nearly 20 years of experience in the mental health field.
My career has encompassed diverse roles, including working within NHS mental health teams, supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health challenges, and spending a decade specialising in addiction recovery at an NHS rehabilitation facility. Additionally, I have two years of experience as a bereavement counsellor in a hospice, offering compassionate care to those navigating grief and loss.
Currently, I work as a psychotherapist and provide tailored support for both the NHS and through my own private practice.
My approach to therapy is deeply personalised, honouring your unique story, individuality, and the journey that has brought you here. Your wellbeing will always take centre stage as we work together, creating a process in which your true nature is respected, nurtured, and protected.
I provide a confidential, empathic, and evidence-based approach for individuals seeking help with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, addiction, or loss. I am committed to inclusive support for clients of diverse cultural, religious, gender, sexual orientation, and neurodiverse backgrounds.
By the end of treatment, the aim is for you to be able to maintain healthy boundaries, nurture meaningful relationships, experience greater joy, fulfilment, and resilience in all areas of your life and feel deeply rooted in your sense of self.
Practice description
I offer psychotherapy sessions exclusively online, using Zoom or any other secure virtual platform you prefer. This approach allows me to provide maximum flexibility and accessibility, enabling you to engage in therapy from a setting that feels most comfortable and convenient for you.
It also helps to keep costs down while maintaining the same quality and depth of therapeutic work as in-person sessions.
My first session
The first session is free of charge and lasts for 30 minutes. This first session will be structured as a friendly and relaxed conversation in which we talk briefly about what has brought you to consider therapy; however, the main purpose is for you to experience how it feels to be in a session with me before deciding whether to continue.
Many people feel understandably nervous before starting therapy, so keeping this initial meeting shorter helps make the experience more manageable.
