Opening in February 2026, our registered member to accredited member (SCoPEd column A to B) route 4: NHS core training pathway will be for registered members who have successfully completed the NHS core training pathway pilot. The first set of graduates from this course will be in 2025. More information about the NHS core training pathway is available on our website. 

Eligibility criteria overview

To apply you’ll need to: 

  • be a registered member of BACP
  • have completed the NHS core training pathway pilot
  • be in current practice as a counsellor or psychotherapist
  • have an ongoing current contract for counselling or psychotherapy supervision for a minimum of 1.5 hours per month

How to apply

You’ll be able to apply from February 2026. To do so, you’ll need to complete the application form and the reflective practice criteria.

The application fee will be £35. There isfinancial support available for eligible members.
