About me and my therapy practice

I work relationally, creating a safe, non-judgemental space for individuals to explore emotional, relational, and psychological difficulties, struggles with identity, addiction, depression and loss.  I believe the work is a co-creation where meaning and behavioral patterns can be explored to facilitate self- understanding and change.

Underpinning theories: Psychodynamic, Person-Centered/Existential, and Cognitive behavioral therapy.

Practice description

I work within the guidelines of the BACP ethical framework. Everything we discuss is confidential unless I think there is a risk of harm to self or others, this would always be discussed with you before discussing it with other parties. I work with a supervisor who facilitates support in the work we do, and to ensure that we are working safely.

Sessions are 50 minutes and will be held in the same space, at the same time and day for consistency. I would have to be informed of cancellations with 24 hours notice prior and you will be charged if I am not informed. There is some flexibility as emergencies happen and things come up but this can be discussed as and when it occurs.

I offer long term and short-term sessions, this can be discussed in the initial assessment as we explore goals and objectives.

I offer discounts for Students and those struggling financially.

My first session

The assessment is an opportunity to explore what is going for you and to clarify what it is you would like to work on in the time we have. It is a way for me to formulate what your current needs are and how to proceed with the therapy. This also gives you the chance to see if you feel happy to continue working with me and to ask any questions that you may have regarding the process.

The assessment is charged at £45 and is an hour long, this can be done face to face, online or over the phone.
