About me and my therapy practice
I offer a safe confidential space to enable you to talk through whatever is causing you difficulty in your life. My aim is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship with you.
I treat each client with respect and as a unique individual with individual needs and concerns. I am empathic and will not judge or criticise you.
You may be feeling anxious, depressed or lost and unable to understand why. We will work together to explore your thoughts and feelings about current and past experiences, including childhood experiences, that may be causing you to feel stuck or to hold onto past painful feelings. We will look at patterns of behaviour from the past that may no longer be helpful to you.
As a Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapist I work with unconscious thoughts and feelings. Our past experiences affect us all and we may not be fully aware of the effects they still have on us.
I am an experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapist qualified to Masters level. I am a registered member of the BACP and as such work according to their ethical framework.
My own life experiences have helped me to develop self-awareness and insight into various difficult issues which informs my work as a therapist.
Fees
The first session will be an initial assessment of up to 1 1/2 hours to see if we can work together, the cost is £50.
For subsequent weekly sessions of 50 minutes the cost is £40 - £55 per session depending on income.
Some places are available for clients on a low income.
