Therapist - Salisbury

Salisbury SP2
Sessions from £50.00

About me and my therapy practice

My aim is to help you to make better sense of your experiences, together with your thoughts and emotions, and explore options. Helping you to uncover meanings and recognise patterns, providing you with greater self-awareness. I would like to help you to think more kindly of yourself and gain a clearer understanding of your relationships with others. Working towards positive and meaningful change.

I am a registered and qualified counsellor working with individuals either online nationally or 'in the room' at my private practice in Salisbury. The confidential therapy I provide is informed by Transactional Analysis, a modality proven effective working with a wide range of issues. It provides easy to understand ways to explore and identify a plan for change. Nonetheless, I incorporate other techniques into the therapeutic process to suit your specific needs, because we are all different.

I work with a full range of emotional issues, difficult life events, impact of family relationships and unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. I also work with the spectrum of gender and sexual expressions of the LGBTQIA+ community and recognise the importance of culture, race and identity in how we meet the world. As an inclusive therapist I actively provide understanding and a place to be understood. My goal is to work with people who wish to improve and enrich their relationships, with themselves, others and the world.

Practice description

I have a spacious, well ventilated practice on the first floor, with adjacent free parking.

My first session

What to expect in our first session

Firstly, I offer a free 15-minute telephone conversation so that you can share why you are thinking of coming to therapy and what your hopes are. This gives us both the opportunity to see if I am the right person for you, or if someone else or another service might suit you better.

If you decide you would like to continue, your first session is spent discussing the what brings you to therapy, what you would like to explore, what your hopes are and how we can work together.

My approach

My passion is to get to the heart of the matter, by holding a compassionate, kind, yet firm, loving space. I hold the belief that everyone already has the answers within them and is far more capable than they currently perceive. It is a two-way, co-creative approach, where growth occurs and the intention is to find new and better ways to live. Helping you to improve the way in which you relate to yourself, others and the world.
