About me and my therapy practice
“It is ok to get lost every once in a while. Sometimes getting lost is how we find ourselves"
Through my own professional and personal experiences counselling has taught me that all challenges, no matter how difficult or painful can bring opportunities for growth and empowerment. Counselling is a journey, it can be long or short term but it must have certain factors in place to allow change. What I offer you is a safe environment where you can feel able to share with me the issues you are facing, to feel listened to without passing judgment and together looking at ways to create a way forward.
I have undertaken further specialized training in areas of Couples Counselling,Sex Addiction and Pornography, Rewind Technique, Child Abuse and Autism along with my CPCAB qualification in Children’s Counselling.
Working with all ages from 2.5yr to 89yr+ requires different approaches with each individual. As an Integrative counsellor it enables me to draw on several different therapeutic approaches which I tailor to the needs of each client. When working with children I work very gently to understand their life events. By using creative play it allows me to enter their world from their perspective.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Working within their Ethical Framework of good practice, it also means I am committed to my personal and professional development as well as attending regular Clinical Supervision.
I am DBS checked and hold full Professional Civil Liability Insurance.
