About me and my therapy practice
I am offering a safe and confidential space where you can explore what really matters to you at this time in your life. Here you can begin to make sense of how you feel about yourself and others and begin to get a better understanding of any difficulties you might be facing.
My approach to counselling is based on the belief that our past experiences continue to influence our thoughts, feelings and actions, even when we are not aware of their influence. For example, you might find yourself crying or getting angry for no apparent reason, or feel strangely empty.
Our counselling sessions are an opportunity for you to talk about what is troubling you and for us to explore how you feel about your situation. Over time you might become more aware of how you relate to yourself and others and begin to identify ways of being that are no longer helpful.
My training is in contemporary psychodynamic counselling and I have also worked in crisis management for a mental health charity. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I practice in accordance with our code of ethics.
I work with adults individually on a short term or longer term basis. If you feel that you would like to make further enquiries then please contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
I work with individual adults on a weekly basis.
Face-to-face sessions take place in a clean and comfortable counselling room in Kings Langley. There is ample free parking outside the building and in the surrounding area. The room is accessed via a flight of stairs. Toilet facilities are available on site.
I can also offer online or telephone sessions if your preference is to access sessions remotely.
All sessions are in line with the current Covid-19 Government guidelines.
