About me and my therapy practice
Life is never plain sailing, we often feel overwhelmed and go through difficult times, but how we cope with our challenges and how we adapt and grow as a result, depends on how we personally interpret these events and what we learn from these experiences about ourselves, about others, and about the world we live in.
It is still believed by some that there is a stigma attached to seeking therapeutic support and that we should soldier on keeping a stiff upper lip. In fact, the opposite is true. Once we understand that there are issues that need to be dealt with and we decide to do something about it, we show strength and determination rather than suffering in silence, wondering what life could be like.
I do not restrict myself to a particular school of therapy, but use whatever I feel may be helpful for you and appreciate how important it is for you to feel heard and understood. I encourage self-acceptance and acceptance of others, using self-esteem blended with humility.
I work with you as a unique person in a non-judgemental way and in strict confidence. I offer a safe place where we can explore life issues and gain insight into understanding relationships, fulfilment of potential and emotional experience.
I believe that we are born with an inbuilt compass and that we have a sense of what we need to do to facilitate personal growth, the road to growth is sometimes paved with obstacles, some real and some perceived, but the signposts can be clearer when shared
I am at present at the North London Hospice and Schonfeld Square and have been for close to 6 years with people experiencing challenges in their lives.
I am a Registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. Advanced Diploma
