About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I offer a warm, safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where I can support you with whatever has brought you to counselling.
There are many reasons you might have chosen to seek out counselling. Perhaps life feels hard right now and you need a space to make sense of what you are feeling and experiencing. You might be feeling stuck or that life is lacking purpose or fulfilment or feeling anxious or stressed and would like support to manage these issues. You might be finding it difficult to make decisions and would like help to clarity your thoughts. Whatever your need is, I offer a warm supportive environment where we can explore these issues together.
I offer a holistic approach that is tailored to your individual needs. I work relationally, which means I see the counselling relationship as being especially important in our work together. As part of my approach, I offer a range of creative techniques, mindfulness, Humanistic Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focussed Therapy wherever these support your needs. I am a sensitive and caring practitioner and will support you to feel safe and comfortable to work with me.
I work to the professional and ethical standards as set out in the BACP Ethical Framework. I attend regular supervision to maintain the quality of my work and ensure I am doing the best for my clients. I am fully insured and hold a DBS certificate.
I offer individual counselling sessions, in person, telephone and via zoom. These can either be short term or offered on a longer-term basis depending on your needs.

My first sessionI know that seeking out support can be a big step and it is important to find a counsellor you feel comfortable working with. I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation to answer any questions you might have and help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
