About me and my therapy practice
I am working in private practise as well as the NHS, currently as part of the Psycho-Oncology Team at a London NHS Trust, where I see people who have been affected by a diagnosis of cancer.
I am a warm and approachable counsellor, committed to providing a confidential, empathic and non-judgmental space where you are welcome to talk about and explore any issues that are causing you distress.
Your needs and goals will always be central to our work. I will not push or direct you but walk alongside you to help you identify, understand and address your difficulties.
I see clients with many different issues, such as loss, trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, feeling stuck etc.. Whatever it is, we will work together to help ease your distress or pain.
I understand that taking the step to see a counsellor may feel daunting. If you decide to take that step you might find that counselling can make a real difference when you’re going through tough times and that feeling accepted for who you are, feeling heard and understood and not judged for what you feel or think, does help.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.
You might want to explore a specific issue or may feel that something is not quite right in your life but are not sure what you are looking for. Counselling is a process which aims to empower and enable you to recognise and address your difficulties and to decide on how to manage your life and make choices which may lead to greater fulfilment.
I will accompany you in this process by offering a therapeutic relationship where you can feel safe and accepted, your needs and goals will always be central to our work and I will not push or direct you.
I am committed to being open and transparent with you and together, we will explore how you experience yourself and life with the aim of bringing clarity to those aspects with which you are struggling.
My first session
We will have an initial session where we can discuss what brought you to therapy, what your hopes are for our work together and where you can see if you feel comfortable with me. There is no obligation to continue with further sessions. This session will also give me an opportunity to see if I am best placed to help you.
You are welcome to decide how many sessions you would like to take. You might for example prefer to do short term work of 6-12 sessions or leave it open-ended.
