I offer flexible session times between 8am and 9pm, Monday to Friday.
I am able to provide therapy at a clinic in Hove on The Drive, as well as in Kemptown on Eastern Road.
I have a private consulting room at Brighton Consulting Rooms by Preston Park Station.
I am also able to offer therapy online.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist based in Brighton, and am registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.
People come to therapy for all sorts of issues, some of which have been going on for years and others because of a recent trauma. Whatever you may be experiencing, my aim is to help you better understand the situation you find yourself in, and provide a safe, non-judgemental, confidential space for you to explore what has brought you to therapy.
Psychotherapy addresses the person as a whole and is an open exploration of your thoughts and feelings, which leads into an uncovering of the unconscious factors that lie behind your difficulties, therefore, allowing you to develop the agency to make necessary changes. Psychotherapy is a deeper way of working, which enables you to safely process emotions that may have been experienced as unbearable, as well as providing the support for learning about our whole selves at depth, feeing up our mind to address out situation more honestly and effectively. Working psychodynamically together, your therapeutic journey will bring unconscious feelings into consciousness, as we access previously unknown thoughts and feelings, traumas, rejections and losses. Over time, this new self-awareness may enable you to make better sense of who you really are, as we work through your feelings and inner conflicts. A sense of feeling more focused and in control of your life, along with improved inner resilience and self-belief, better relationships, and improved emotional stability, are key benefits I hope you’ll enjoy.
My Qualifications
I hold an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck University, London, as well as an Diploma in Counselling Psychology. I am a fully clinically trained and insured psychodynamic psychotherapist and a member of the BACP.
My Experience
I have extensive experience of working with clients from different backgrounds, with a range of emotional difficulties.
