About me and my therapy practiceI am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor. I can help you address immediate problems and habits that are affecting you, with the aim of identifying their roots and influence over your relationships, both past and present.
We can work together to unfold your personal story, to help you gain greater understanding and acceptance of your issues and difficulties.
My aim is to support you as you develop these insights and begin to make changes.
I undertake a continuous programme of training to add to my theoretical knowledge and to remain updated about changes in current thinking and practice.
My first session
I offer an initial assessment which is an opportunity for you to share what has brought you to counselling and to think about what you wish to gain from it. We will establish how we hope to work together.
This may be open-ended or we may agree a set number of sessions, where we can focus on a specific issue for an agreed number of sessions.
