In response to the situation with Covid-19, in July 2020, I completed a training course delivered by the BACP (my governing body), “How to Counsel Online” (Coronavirus Primer).

Currently, I am offering online sessions via a video platform (Zoom) - returning to a face-to-face/online blended approach by mid/late January.

My rationale towards offering this blended approach of online and in-person sessions, I believe will facilitate continuity of the therapeutic process, in supporting my clients.

Since 2012, I have worked therapeutically, counselling children, adolescents, and adults on a one-to-one basis, in a range of settings.

About me and my therapy practice

Life can be a struggle, so, it’s not surprising that we may experience times when we feel; stuck, confused, worried, isolated, lost, anxious or depressed. Therefore, there are times when we may need to seek the support of a therapist to work through these  difficulties.

I am an experienced, qualified, and accredited BACP counsellor, holding a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling. I have also received training in CBT and Positive Psychology.

I provide a confidential and professional counselling service to adult and adolescent clients, for a range of difficulties, some of which are; depression, low-mood, anxiety, OCD, trauma, stress, bereavement, anger, low-mood, ageing, loss, relationship difficulties and low self-esteem.

My aim is to meet you in an authentic way that encourages genuine dialogue. I offer a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental, therapeutic relationship, a space where you can be curious about your thoughts, feelings, and life situations, to gain perspective, understanding and self-growth.

I work from an integrative perspective, which means I use several ideas and concepts from a range of theorists, tailoring my therapeutic interventions to you as an unique individual. If it’s deemed useful to the therapeutic process, I will also suggest/offer some creative interventions.

I have worked as a counsellor in IAPT - Primary Care Counsellor (Talking Therapies), Children’s Services, with parents, Colleges of Further Education/Schools, with adults, young people and children.

Practice description

There is good public transport links (bus and train within walking distance) and nearby car parks.

All appointments are booked in advance.

My first session
