About me and my therapy practice

“If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favourable” Seneca.

I’m a qualified and accredited BACP counsellor, holding a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling and training in CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and Positive Psychology.

I have a small private practice, counselling adult clients, in addition to this, I work within a School Trust, counselling adults, children and young people.

I’m experienced in delivering time-limited therapeutic interventions 6-10 sessions, and longer-term more in-depth therapy, for a broad range of mental health difficulties. Some of which are: depression, anxiety, OCD, stress, bereavement, anger, low self-esteem, loss, low-mood, abuse, relationship issues, and life-cycles.

My aim is to offer you the opportunity to explore difficulties and life situations; in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space, through a collaborative relationship of genuineness, respect and acceptance. To raise awareness, getting to know yourself more fully, and conveying a sense of space for growth, healing and optimism, feeling more connected in the world.

Therapy is tailored to the client’s specific needs, therefore, I draw on a range of modalities, helping to promote personal growth and recovery.

All appointments are booked in advance. Our initial meeting would be to determine our suitability to work together, and look at your therapeutic goals. If you have any questions, please email/call,  prior to booking an appointment.

I work from a well-established Counselling and Therapy Centre, where I rent a room. There is a reception area and comfortable waiting room. The Centre offers good transport links, to both rail and bus routes.
