About me and my therapy practice

I work from the premise of creating a collaborative and mutually respectful working alliance.

Counselling can be an opportunity to explore your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and life situations, in a non-judgemental, safe environment, where you can feel heard and accepted. It is a place where you can be curious about yourself, without censorship. I believe it is in dialogue where, we can begin to make sense of our past, and current life situations, and in doing so, with raised awareness, we can create the potential to facilitate positive change.

I offer a confidential and professional counselling service, to adult and adolescent clients seeking therapeutic support. In addition to my private practice, I work within a School Trust on a sessional basis, counselling children using creative mediums.

I am an experienced, qualified, and accredited BACP counsellor, holding a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, and have received training in CBT and Positive Psychology.

I work from an integrative perspective, which means I draw on several ideas and concepts from a range of theorists, tailoring my therapeutic interventions to you as a unique individual, not a one-size fits all approach.

I have experience working with, depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, stress, bereavement, anger, low-mood, abuse, existential anxiety, ageing, loss, and low self-esteem.

I have worked therapeutically as a counsellor, since 2012, in a range of settings: Children’s Services with parents, Colleges of Further Education, Schools with adults and children, and an IAPT Service (NHS Talking Therapies)

Practice description

I work from a well-established Counselling & Therapy Centre - where I hire a room.

There is good public transport links (bus and train within walking distance) and nearby car parks.

All appointments are booked in advance.
