About me and my therapy practice
We all experience difficult life transitions, times when we feel Personal disillusionment. Life is full of unpredictability and challenges. At times we do not feel rooted in ourselves.
I provide a gentle, safe and non judgmental space where you can feel supported and listened to. I encourage you to be yourself. Placing a strong emphasis on establishing a therapeutic relationship that is respectful, honest and trustworthy.
Talking through areas where you are experiencing difficulty can help you gain important insight and perspective, which paves the way for healing to begin.
My approach is Person Centred this is a relational approach meaning the concept of trust is placed at the centre of the therapeutic relationship.
My clinical practice experience includes working at a counselling service for adults with a wide range of presenting issues. This has given me a solid platform in my counselling career and provided me with the opportunity to work with a diverse client base.
In addition to private practice, I work voluntarily at a counselling service for young adults.
I have worked with clients who have faced many challenges including Anxiety, Depression, Shame, Anger, Addiction, Identity Issues, Body Image,Childhood Trauma.This list is not exhaustive and often difficulties can be interlinked.
I am familiar with mindfulness techniques and can incorporate these techniques in my therapeutic work if required.
Taking the step to begin therapy can feel daunting, like entering an unfamiliar world. I honour the courage it takes to reach out. I look forward to meeting you soon.
