About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Ann and I understand the huge impact that struggles with depression, anxiety, panic, low self-esteem, stress and relationship difficulties can have on our lives. Counselling can be an important first step in helping you deal with the challenges that life throws at you. At Counselling.Space you will have a safe and confidential environment to explore these challenges and develop a better understanding of yourself as well as the beliefs that drive your moods and behaviour.
My experience has shown that even the most difficult issues can be worked through and overcome. Whilst you cannot change what has happened in the past, counselling can empower you to make positive changes for the future. I would love to hear from you to see how I can help.
With a professional yet flexible approach, including the use of my specialism, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), I encourage a collaborative therapeutic relationship to identify and address the difficulties that you are experiencing. Relief from persistent symptoms can begin as early as the first session, helping with the management of your daily life. Once functioning more effectively, the roots and core beliefs that are driving your symptoms can then be explored and addressed to support you towards self-growth and healing.
My first session
We will go through the client agreement that I will send before the session and then I will take some background information before discussing what you would like to achieve from therapy and whether you are looking for a fixed number of sessions. We will talk about what the therapy might look like - although it will change as we progress according to you needs. Therapy with me is collaborative and it is important that you heal and grow in the way that works best for you.
