About me and my therapy practice
I am an Accredited Member of BACP offering counselling in person (southside of Glasgow) and on-line (UK wide) for individuals.
It can be a daunting prospect to choose a counsellor just when we are at our most vulnerable, I hope that what you read here resonates with you.
We all struggle with difficult life events such as: bullying, problems in your relationship, bereavement, stress or feeling overwhelmed by life. Often, we struggle to make sense of how we feel, and what is happening in our lives.
Counselling offers you the opportunity to work collaboratively to understand your thoughts and feelings. We can work together to make sense of the thoughts, feelings and behaviour patterns causing problems. Working from your perspective and at your pace we bring about the changes that allow you to develop the self-acceptance and self-awareness in your life.
I offer a safe, confidential space, where you will be heard and accepted. Previous clients tell me that they found the courage and the strength through counselling to make changes in their lives that allow them to make positive changes. Often, we feel stuck and are unsure how to move forward but realise something has to change.
I have experience in working with a wide range of people, I am particularly familiar with that helpless feeling that life should be better, those struggling with their relationships, anxiety and men’s issues
So yes, it can be daunting to choose a counsellor for the first time,

About me and my therapy practice
I offer supervision that aims to be collaborative and offers space to reflect on your work and your therapy. I offer the opportunity for you to reflect on personal and professional issues that are influencing your practice. There is space to explore feelings that are difficult, uncomfortable or when we are just unsure of what is going on. Sometimes that will be about sharing experience, exploring the work with a client or exploring theory, yet most of the time it will be about helping you develop your therapy with clients. Ultimately, the intention is to help you to grow as a therapist.
My own background is working in a variety of organisations, including the NHS, Higher education and charities before setting up my own private counselling practice. I see both long term and time limited clients from a variety of referral sources. There is a wide range of presentations, the reward and challenge is in helping them to discover themselves again.
I see supervisees both on-line (uk wide) at my home on the south side of Glasgow (in person) offering appointments by agreement.
There are good public transport links and plenty of car parking.
I welcome prospective supervisees having a free exploratory first session.
