About me and my therapy practice

Counselling is an effective way to sort out issues in your life. Together we explore difficult feelings and situations, in a safe, dependable, confidential space, free from outside judgement My clients tell me that they have found the courage and the strength through counselling, to make changes in their lives that allow them to live life to the full. Clients phone for all sorts of reasons, but mostly it is because something is hurting, causing them emotional pain or disrupting their life. It might be anxiety, stress, problems in the workplace or with your relationship but you feel you cannot cope. It can be an isolating place with nowhere to turn. Yet counselling can offer that safe space where you can talk, he heard, reflect and move forward. Yet it can be daunting to make that call. Please don’t be afraid to pick up that phone. Together we can explore difficult feelings and unravel the cause of emotional pain, free from outside judgement. I understand that you may have more questions and I welcome casual enquiries. Call and see if as a counsellor. I can make a difference in your life so please phone me, with no obligation. Twitter @Considertherapy Facebook https://www.facebook.com/ConsiderateCounselling

About me and my therapy practice

I offer counselling supervision that aims to be collaborative and offers space to reflect on your work and your therapy. I offer the opportunity for you to reflect on personal and professional issues that are influencing your practice. There is space to explore feelings that are difficult, uncomfortable or when we are just unsure of what is going on. Sometimes that will be about sharing experience, exploring the work with a client or exploring theory, yet most of the time it will be about helping you develop your therapy with clients. Ultimately, the intention is to help you to grow as a therapist.

My own background is working in a variety of organisations, including the NHS, Higher education and charities before setting up my own private counselling practice. I see both long term and time limited clients from a variety of referral sources. There is a wide range of presentations, both individuals and couples, and the reward and challenge is in helping them to discover themselves again.

I see supervisees at my home on the south side of Glasgow offering day and evening appointments by agreement. There are good public transport links and plenty of car parking. I welcome prospective supervisees having a free exploratory first session.

I am also happy to take counselling students. There are concessions available for students who are in training.
