Availability
I provide a counselling service which is flexible and suitable for you. I currently have availability within my practice.
Currently, I offer sessions from 16:00 onwards Monday to Thursday, and on Fridays from 12:30 onwards. I also offer weekends if that is required.
I am available online, by telephone or in person, whichever you feel best with.
About me and my therapy practice
I have a private practice in the Hedge End/Botley area of Southampton and provide supportive, caring, non-judgemental counselling. I offer face to face, phone and online counselling with individuals and couples. I work with people from all ages, races, sexualities and genders.
I have experience of working with a variety of issues including anxiety, anger, depression, bereavement, relationships, work issues, eating disorders and many more.
As well as my private practice, I currently work in an educational establishment and I also work for Eastleigh Youth Counselling Services. I have experience in helping young people affected by anger, anxiety trauma and school exclusion.
I charge £55 for 50 minutes with a reduced rate for students of £45 for 50 minutes .
Couples counselling is £65 for 1 hour.
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
Practice description
I am a humanistic therapist and this means I use a variety of modalities including Person-Centred, Gestalt and CBT. I look and listen to find out clearly what the problem is and what would be the best solution from your perspective.
My sessions are 50 minutes long. You are not tied in to coming every week or for a certain number of sessions - the decision is yours. I have access to two counselling rooms - one has disabled access and both are quiet and calming. They are easy to reach from J7 or 8 of the M27 and have parking available.
I specialise in anxiety, depression and exam issues having gained many years of experience through working as a teacher in special needs schools and as a counsellor. I can also help with family relationships, male issues, anger, stress, lack of confidence and bereavement.
It is often hard to make that first move, but I am sure you won't regret it. I offer help at either location in Hedge End, by telephone or online. I hope to hear from you soon.
My first session
I work in a flexible way so you are welcome to book a session without any obligation to book more. I charge for this session, so it is a full 50 minutes to enable us to talk fully about the reason you have considered counselling.
Most people find this useful and find they have started to work on the problem. The first session is a chance for us to consider whether we can work together. If things are right, then we can start to assess how we can go about beginning to solve the problem.
