About me and my therapy practice

Therapy can allow you the space to better understand yourself and make sense of your own history, behaviour and ways of being. During these uncertain times, you may not have identified your issue but feel you’re struggling to find peace in an overwhelming and challenging world. I provide an open, non-judgemental, safe and confidential space to explore this together.

I am an integrative counsellor, my training and experience allows me to draw from different therapeutic tools and approaches. Being able to combine these elements means I can be flexible and adapt my approach to meet your needs, while working at a pace that best suits you.

I am passionate about supporting people who are invested in their well-being and simply want to get more out of what life has to offer.

I offer both short and long term sessions, as well as face-to-face and online counselling. I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients on issues including anxiety, depression, abuse, long term health conditions, substance addiction and culturally sensitive issues.

At present due to the impact of COVID-19, I will only be offering sessions via zoom, skype or telephone.

Practice description

I work one-to-one with individual clients, offering weekly 50 minute sessions. I work on both short-term (minimum of 16 weeks) or long term (open ended) basis.

I hold a qualification in Integrative Counselling. My clients are at the heart of the sessions, with that in mind my training allows me to utilise 3 approaches to best suit their needs:

Humanistic (person-centred approach) – Offering empathy, openness and trust, allowing you to explore how you perceive yourself and what your hopes are in life.

Psychodynamic – Exploring your past and the impact it has on your present.

Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) – exploring negative thoughts or distortions you may be experiencing and using practical techniques to change them. 

My first session

It takes courage to decide to come to therapy and much of the success of therapy lies in establishing a good therapeutic relationship. Our initial session will allow us both to assess if we will be able to work together. I will ask you some general questions, what’s brought you to therapy and what you hope to get from the sessions. I’ll share with you how I work, my availability and answer your questions.

The initial session is £25 for 50 minutes.
