About me and my therapy practice

Life can be a struggle.

Sometimes we feel we have lost our way, finding it difficult to know which way to turn. Sometimes we feel we have lost touch with who we are and what would best support us.

Sometimes we can resolve these difficulties ourselves, but sometimes we need support to do this. Counselling can help by providing you with a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in the strictest of confidence.

I will listen to you with sensitivity and empathy and be attentive and responsive. I will not judge or try and change you but support you as you explore a range of emotions which are troubling you. As you gain new awareness about yourself and your world, new paths and possibilities may open in front of you.

In my professional and personal life I have found no two people alike. The therapeutic relationship and the work we do together will be unique. To help support this I draw on different models of therapy, adapting what feels most helpful to you.

I am a fully qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means I am guided by their Ethical framework.

Sometimes people can struggle to express how they are feeling. They feel unable to find the words and feel blocked making it difficult to make progress. Working creatively can offer another way of reaching parts of us that are difficult to access bringing about new meaning and understanding.
