About me and my therapy practice

We all have unique reasons for seeking support through therapy. No matter where we are in our lives, many of us find ourselves facing difficulties that disrupt our emotional wellbeing.  Perhaps we feel anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, depressed or unable to live life to our fullest potential. Or we might be ill, in pain, grieving or living with unresolved, or on-going trauma.  Many of us experience difficulty in intimate relationships, with friends, at work or with family members, or we're going through significant life changes. Or maybe we just want to try and unravel the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that seem to hold us back. Sometimes, we can’t put a finger on what’s troubling us.

At times like these, it can help to have support. I strongly believe we all deserve an opportunity to be fully listened to and taken seriously by someone who can non-judgmentally help to make sense of our thoughts, feelings, behaviour and experiences and that, with this assistance, we have capacity to heal, transform and grow, even from the toughest life experiences.

As an integrative therapist I am interested in how our experiences, along with our cultural backgrounds, shape how we feel in terms of relationships, self-image and self-beliefs. At the heart of my practice is the conviction that we heal through relationships, through how we both show up and experience one other in the therapeutic space. My approach is collaborative, respectful and down to earth and my aim is to provide a supportive, creative and confidential space where we can explore who you are in the context of your distinctive personal world, and the issues that bring you to therapy. I will help you to make the changes that you hope for, by re-connecting you with your feelings, your deepest needs and your desires.

My first session

If you're interested in finding out more, the first step is to get in touch to arrange a free 20 minute phone conversation in which we can talk about what you are looking for from therapy and get a feel for whether we might like to work together.

Unfortunately my therapy rooms are not accessible to anyone who is unable to climb stairs, but please do still get in touch as we may be able to make other arrangements.

From here we can arrange an initial consultation session to get to know each other better.  This session costs £70 and lasts 50 minutes.  It is important that you find a therapist you feel comfortable with and this session will allow you to decide whether you think I am the right therapist for you.

If we both feel that the first meeting has gone well, we can then arrange a time to meet regularly on a weekly basis. We might agree to meet for a fixed number of sessions or on an open-ended basis.

I look forward to hearing from you.
