About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for visiting my profile. I am a BACP accredited counsellor with a strong understanding and recognition of the importance of the relationship between counsellor and client. I aim to provide an environment where you are able to explore, process and work through issues in a supportive, safe and non-judgemental manner.
My values include respecting and appreciating diversity, valuing individual choice and respecting autonomy. These values are at the centre of my practice and help provide an environment that supports positive change.
I have 13 years experience working as a group facilitator and trainer. I have worked with a wide range of presenting issues and needs including Anger management, Anxiety, Depression, Bereavement, Low self-esteem, eating disorders and relationship issues. I have worked in a wide range of settings including public sector, voluntary services and private practice.
I have undertaken many training courses, qualifications and personal development courses (listed below) to enhance my skills and ability to help others. I am also a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and adhere to their code of ethics.
