About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Debbie and I am a fully qualified, insured, Integrative Psychotherapist. Life can sometimes throw us a curve ball where stresses in life can build to the point of impacting daily life and relationships. Dealing with difficult traumas from the past can affect self esteem and confidence and belief in oneself. I offer help/support to a range of mental health issues including anxiety and depression. I am currently offering in-person and online sessions.

I offer a confidential and judgement-free environment where you can bring any problem to be worked on collaboratively. We will work at your pace, and in a way that helps you feel safe and taken seriously. The process of therapy is different with everyone, but my overall aim is to allow you to explore what is happening and navigate a way forward with greater understanding and empowerment.

Practice description

I am trained to use a variety of therapeutic approaches from a humanistic / relational stance and specialise in early developmental relational trauma.

I believe you are the expert of yourself and my role is to aid your awareness and autonomy. It is also my belief that a strong client- therapist relationship is the most important aspect of therapy, and through our relationship you can be supported to a greater understanding about dynamics that play out within yourself and also with friends and family.

My first session

As an initial contact, I offer a FREE half hour informal chat just to get to know each other and answer any questions you may have. It is an opportunity for you to express what it is you want from therapy and I will also be able to get a sense of whether I am able to help you.
