About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for visiting my profile. Sometimes life can be hard to manage on our own, and that’s ok. If you are reading this, you may well be feeling that part of your life is troubling you. Whether it’s something that has happened in your life or you are finding your feelings or relationships with people hard to manage, I will offer you a safe, confidential space to listen to you without judgment. I will also help you reflect on how you can grow into the person you want to become and to make choices that are right for you.
I will prioritise understanding how you experience the world rather than interpreting your world for you and making assumptions. My focus to do this is by building a trusting, respectful and honest relationship with you in which you feel heard and valued, so that you can express how you're actually feeling. I will respect the pace you want to work at and what boundaries you want to set for our work together.
Practice description
I have a PGDip in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Metanoia Institute. As a registered member of BACP, I'm guided by their ethical framework.
I'm based in Richmond for face-to-face sessions, but we can also meet online or by phone - whichever you're most comfortable with. For Zoom and phone, sessions are £40 each. I offer both short and long-term work.
I have a limited number of concessionary slots for students and people with low incomes. Please call me to discuss further.
My first session
Our first session is a chance for us to meet and for you to see if you would like to work with me. For this reason, I offer a reduced rate of £30 for our first session.
I know from my own experience what a big step it is to reach out for help. It's common to feel nervous or anxious when starting counselling. If you have any questions about the way I worker counselling generally, please feel free to contact me or visit my website for further information. All enquiries will be treated in a confidential and sensitive way.
