About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified counsellor with over 12 years experience, and an Accredited Member of BACP. I have worked with adults in a variety of settings, including a local therapy centre and a specialist service for people who have experienced sexual abuse. I can offer you a safe and confidential space to talk through the issues that are troubling you. We can explore your concerns at your pace, and work together towards understanding and resolving them. I am particularly interested in how our early experiences and relationships may be affecting our lives today. People often find themselves repeating unhelpful patterns, and not being able to understand why this happens, or how to feel empowered to make different life choices. You can choose to work short-term and focus on a particular issue, or you may prefer to have longer-term support.
My therapy room is quiet and welcoming, and there is free parking and good public transport links. After an initial discussion via telephone or email, we will meet for an initial session. I will ask you to tell me a little bit about what is troubling you, so that we can start to make sense of things. If we then agree to go ahead and work together, we will agree on a regular weekly time, and we will have regular reviews to discuss how things are going.
