When you are looking for a counsellor the process can seem daunting, being unsure what to expect or how the process works. Initially we have an informal chat, free of charge and without obligation to discuss your needs and expectations. From there we set out a time and date that you would like therapy to start and the method that best suits you.

So, If you are struggling in your life in some way such as depression, anxiety or stress then counselling is a great step towards moving through those feelings and discovering the life you want to lead. There can be tremendous value in talking through your ideas, problems and feelings with a therapist who has the experience, training and expertise to help with what you are going through. Perhaps you would like to understand yourself better? Perhaps you are overloaded with your life and need support?

Working with each client as the individual that they are, I create a safe and respectful relationship where deeper held thoughts and feelings can be acknowledged and explored. Confidentiality and professionalism are at the heart of my practice.

In a first, hour-long assessment session, we would discuss what has brought you to make an appointment with me, what your expectations are, your current state of mind and your personal history.

As a senior practitioner working for one of the Uk's leading mental health charities I am responsible for the clinical supervision for those within my team. I also teach Counselling techniques and as a result can offer support for those in training.
