About me and my therapy practice

I have experience in offering telephone and online counselling, as well as face to face counselling.

I am a fully qualified and very experienced counsellor. I have gained my experience in a number of settings, including as a staff counsellor within the NHS, as a counsellor within a hospice and as a psychological therapist within an NHS mental health service. In addition to my private practice, I also work as a counselling trainer and supervisor.

I hope to be able to offer you a professional and confidential relationship in which to work, with you, on whatever issues have led you to seek counselling. I know, from personal experience, the value of being able to talk, without fear of judgement, to someone who is outside of the situation and who is interested in how I see and experience things.

I work from a person-centred integrative perspective and, as well as person-centred counselling, I am able to offer CBT (cognitive-behavioural therapy). I have experience of working with clients on a very broad range of issues, but specialise in working with bereavement and loss; abuse, including in childhood; anxiety, and issues related to trauma/PTSD.

I offer counselling in my very comfortable and private counselling room in my home in Crewe, and there is plenty of parking nearby. I live about a mile and a half from Crewe train station and I am on a bus route from Crewe town centre.

My first session
