About me and my therapy practice
In my practice, I use my core training as a Person-Centred counsellor along with creative tools to help my clients find their feelings again.
It can be difficult sometimes; finding the words that really speak to what's going on for you. Years of not feeling heard, of suggestions to hide certain emotions, whether from society or closer to home, can leave you feeling lost with how to navigate events, relationships and even day to day life.
My counselling practice offers a safe and empathetic space for you to find your way through life’s challenges and back to your inner strength. Whether you’re grappling with anxiety, relationship issues, depression, or simply seeking personal growth, my practice is here to support you. With expertise and a compassionate approach, I seek to help clients explore their thoughts and emotions, fostering self-awareness and resilience in a tailor made way which suits you, your experiences and your current focus.
If you’re looking to embark on the process of understanding yourself away from the "I should be..." of impersonal external influences, I am here to provide a safe and respectful environment for this journey.
Practicalities:
I want to make counselling a smooth process for you outside of the practice room, which is why I offer email and text reminders for upcoming sessions, regular reviews to ensure you're getting what you need from the work we do together, as well as the opportunity to book block sessions.
Client feedback:
"Not too long ago I was worried about going to counselling. I look back now and I can safely say it is one of the best things I have done. It was a big step to make but once I started my sessions with Leigh I really did discover so many different resolutions to the problems I was facing, along with being able to come to terms with emotions I struggled to deal with, which I think is a massive problem a lot of people face. I couldn’t be happier with my experience in counselling and Leigh made everything feel so natural."

About me and my therapy practice
Ensuring safety and encouraging growth with an egalitarian approach.
I know how important it is to work with a supervisor who compliments your style of working whilst guiding and encouraging growth in your practice, so here's a bit about me... I'm nature orientated and use analogies to aid therapy work. I'm Person-Centred and creatively trained with a passion for Jungian psychology, and I am very driven when it comes to supporting counsellors with their practice.
Supervision with myself involves regular meetings where counsellors can discuss their cases, ethical dilemmas, and personal reactions to their work. Through this reflective dialogue, I will offer feedback, guidance, and mentorship. This helps counsellors gain deeper insights into their practice and refine their therapeutic skills.
Where appropriate, I also incorporate my training as a Creative counsellor within counselling supervision sessions. Providing creative supervision injects a dynamic and innovative dimension into the traditional supervisory process. This approach encourages counsellors to explore their therapeutic work through various creative mediums, such as art, storytelling and role-play. It can be particularly beneficial in helping counsellors navigate complex or challenging cases, as it enables them to view issues from different angles and access unique solutions. By embracing creativity in supervision, counsellors can not only refine their clinical skills but also find renewed inspiration and passion in their work.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
