About me and my therapy practice
Life brings us many different challenges, and whether a client comes to explore a specific issue or because they would like to understand themselves better, I seek to build a safe, trusting and empathic relationship in which clients can process difficult or painful feelings, at their own pace.
With the Person-Centred approach at the foundation of my work, I practise in a fundamentally optimistic, non-judgmental way which is individual to each client, to help them focus on their capacity for self-awareness and autonomy: “being all that you can be”. I aim to help clients by encouraging them to recognise their inner resources and strengths, and to support their emotional well-being.
I come from a creative background and in addition to practising as a counsellor, am a freelance florist. I feel that I can contribute some of the understanding and learning that my own life experiences have brought me, to my counselling practice. I work with people from all walks of life and have a special interest in eating disorders, and experience with working with young people.
