About me and my therapy practice
The Way I Work
As a relational counsellor, I believe the key to successful counselling is a co-creation of the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client.
I am an experienced Accredited Counsellor on the BACP Register.
In my private practice, the main areas I work with are:
- Depression, Stress and Generalised Anxiety and Panic Disorder
- Relationship Issues
- Bereavement and Loss
- Students 18+
- Employee Assistance Programmes: I have the following designations and work primarily with the following organisations for my corporate work:
BUPA Approved Psychotherapist
Anxiety UK Approved Therapist
Psychotherapist on The Private Practice Register
Therapy sessions take place in a designated private counselling room in an extension at the rear of my house in Woodthorpe, York. This offers a quiet, comfortable and confidential environment, where we can work together in a way that you feel listened to, understood and respected.
Your Counselling Journey:
An initial assessment of your reasons for coming to counselling and what outcome you would like to achieve
An introduction to how our counselling relationship would work
Discussion and agreement about ways of working together
When you feel ready, we will agree to draw the sessions to a satisfactory close and discuss a series of counselling tools to help you manage in the future.
Please contact me by email in the first instance (firstname.lastname@example.org)
