About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified and insured Exeter based Integrative Counsellor, I am registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy)

I offer Counselling sessions at the Practice rooms in the centre of Exeter, I can also offer sessions at an alternative location on the outskirts of Exeter which is also wheelchair accessible, there is also on site parking available at this site and access to public transport.

* Please note, I am not currently working from the practice rooms, I am only working at my alternative location on the outskirts of Exeter *

I hold the following qualifications; BA (Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling, Foundation (FdA) Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Certificate in Counselling (Level 3).

I started my Counselling career after experiencing my own battles with my mental health and anxiety during my teenage years, Counselling benefited me hugely and I want to use my own lived experiences to help others.

I firmly believe in giving my clients ownership of the therapeutic process and will adapt my approaches and suggest ways of working that are aligned with your lived experiences and therapeutic goals.

Empathic, attuned and non-judgemental, I aim to offer an experienced safe holding for anyone considering therapy.

Core to my approach is the relationship that I establish with my clients, a safe and supportive platform serving as a springboard for growth and healing.

I have extensive experience of working with people who are experiencing difficulties with Anxiety and Depression, having worked as a senior adult Mental Health Support Worker for two years and alongside CAMHS and Early Help teams for a year and a half.

However, that is not to say that I only work with clients experiencing Anxiety and Depression, the Counselling I provide is open for everyone.

Practice description

Everyone experiences difficulties at some point in their lives, even those who we may regard as the strong ones. It can be a lonely and often overwhelming time, one of the hardest tasks is making the first step to reach out for help, so well done for managing to come this far.

Counselling can help you come to terms with past and present experiences, it can be challenging at times but its benefits can be life changing,

The aim of Counselling is to provide a safe, secure and non-judgemental environment in which any concerns or issues whether past or present can be discussed.

Counselling is not about giving advice or telling you what to do, it is about helping you come to a deeper understanding of yourself and the difficulties you may be facing, whilst providing you with the necessary tools to enable you to make informed choices and decisions that are right for you.

No issue it too big or too small when it comes to Counselling so please don’t hesitate to get in touch and begin your journey today.

My first session

Initial Session: £25 for 30 minutes

I offer an initial 30 minute session where we can discuss what it is that has brought you to Counselling, what you would like to achieve from Counselling and whether I would be the right fit for you as a Counsellor.

In order to secure the session, payment must be made upfront and is non-refundable.

There is absolutely no obligation to book in any further sessions with me after the initial 30 minute session if you don’t feel that I am the right Counsellor for you.

Counselling Session: £50.00 for 50 minutes

I offer both long term and short term face to face Counselling, you can decide what feels right for you.

Online Counselling: £50.00 for 50 minutes

Since the outbreak of Covid 19, it has become very apparent that many of us have been living very busy lives and trying to squeeze everything we possibly can into our days. To make life a little easier for clients and to cut the commute time and costs, I am now offering Counselling sessions online via Zoom.

Counselling online also makes Counselling accessible for those who may find it difficult to leave the house, whether that’s due to work or family restrictions, mental health difficulties such as social anxiety or due to a physical disability.

Telephone Counselling: £50.00 for 50 minutes

Telephone Counselling is not everyone’s first preference, however if this is something you would like to consider then I am happy to discuss this with you.
